Reverend David Swofford

David Swofford is the pastor at Reevesville Baptist Church in Reevesville, SC. David is a seasoned pastor who has served churches in the Upstate, Midlands, and now, in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. He is a graduate of William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina.  He loves teaching the Scripture and cares deeply about equipping his congregation so they can do the work of the church beyond the walls of the church building. David is passionate about Kingdom growth and helping people reach their potential so they can contribute to the work God is doing all around them. David has been happily married for over 36 years to his wife Karen, who is a Deaf education teacher. They have two adult children, Sarah and Krista. When he’s not doing ministry, David enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and spending time with his family.  You may find him on the putt-putt courses of the Lowcountry with his family, “talking trash” about his putting game and (sometimes) following through with a winning score.
